This is an online intercultural communication project developed by Lawrence Williams at the University of North Texas and Michel Legault at the Université de Technologie de Troyes in 2006. The main goal is to exchange ideas, thoughts, and opinions about cultural and social aspects of everyday life and linguistic differences or similarities between English and French.
If you are interested in participating in this project, please contact Professor Williams by e-mail at lawrence.williams@unt.edu.
He will send you a list of participants in France who also have a Gmail account, and you can add several of the people to your Contacts list in Gmail. When you're logged in, you'll be able to see who else is on line at the same time so that you can chat about your studies, life in the U.S. or France, current events, or some other common interest.
Here is some information about the communication tool we have decided to pilot in 2009: Google Mail (with integrated chat). We also plan to explore Tokbox.
