Spend five weeks studying Spanish and immersing yourself in the culture and language of the country in Guadalajara, Mexico! This program offers 6 upper level credit hours in Spanish (3 from UNT and 3 transfer hours).

Two courses: Students will take one course from each category b

Category I: one of the following classes taught by UNT Professors (3 credits)

SPAN 3040: Mexican Culture and Civilization (Dr. Lee)

SPAN 3060: Advanced Spanish Composition and Oral Practice (Dr. Yoon).

Category II: one of the following courses taught by the faculty at the CEPE of the Universidad de Guadalajara (3 transfer credits):

Contemporary Mexican Literature

Mexican Cinema

Estimated Cost:  $3,283.00 [Includes airfare; tuition for 3 transfer credit hours from Mexico; home stay (double accommodation) and 3 meals per day provided by home stay families; excursions to Guanajuato (3 days) and Tequila (1 day)]

Cost not included:  UNT Tuition (3 Credit Hours) and other expenses (textbooks, passport, optional trips, personal expenses)

UNT Scholarship Available:  $500.00 (on first-come, first-served basis!)

Course Prerequisite: SPAN 2050 or the equivalent and Minimum GPA 2.5
