6 Upper Level Credit Hours
Spend five weeks studying Spanish and Mexican Literature and Culture at the Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico. This program offers 6 upper level credit hours in Spanish.
Two courses: Students will take one course from each category below.
Category I: one of the following classes taught by UNT Professors (3 credits)
SPAN 3040: Mexican Culture and Civilization (Dr. Lee)
SPAN 3060: Advanced Spanish Composition and Oral Practice [Conversation and Composition in Cultural Context] (Dr. Yoon)
Category II: one of the following courses taught by the faculty at the Universidad de Guadalajara (3 transfer credits):
Contemporary Mexican Literature
Mexican Cinema
Estimated Costs: $3,200.00 (includes air fair, tuition for 6 credit hours, home stay, 3 meals per day) + Other Expenses (Approx: $700.00; textbook, passport, personal expenses)
UNT Scholarship Available: $500.00
Course Prerequisite: SPAN 2050 or the equivalent and Minimum GPA 2.5
